Jay’s Support Services is a registered NDIS provider based in Werribee, working across Victoria. We support adults and young adults whose situations are usually described as too complicated, and we do it with a small, experienced team who know every person on the caseload by name.
The team
Small on purpose.
We keep the team small enough that every pairing is known personally. Support workers, coordinators and the people who hold the whole picture together, most of whom have spent years doing this work rather than months. When a match is right we protect it, because the relationship is the part that does the work.
A small team, chosen per person
Nobody gets sent to a house because they were the name free on the roster. Every match is made deliberately, and we change it early when it is wrong.
Briefed before they walk in
Anyone starting on a complicated situation gets the full background first, in person, including the parts that are hard to hear. Nobody arrives cold.
Some of us have lived it
Several of the team bring their own experience to the work. It is part of why the match holds, and part of why people stay.
We work alongside the people who matter
Family, carers and the professionals already involved, where the participant wants them there. It is how the team learns the whole person rather than the referral.
Where we came from
Sierra Leone, Seattle, then Melbourne.
Chernor Jalloh, founder
Jay’s Support Services was founded by Chernor Jalloh, known to everyone as CJ. He was born in Sierra Leone and grew up in Seattle. His first job after university was in disability support, doing coordination and case management. Then he moved into the American prison system and stayed there for seven to eight years, counselling young people aged 14 to 22 on transitioning out of custody and back into their communities.
He came to Australia in 2021 and joined a disability agency in Melbourne. The pattern started almost immediately: the participants nobody else could reach kept being handed to him, and with him they settled. Not because he had a technique, but because he had context. He knew the language. He knew what a week inside does to somebody. He had watched friends, cousins and uncles go through the same system.
One of those participants became the reason the business exists. Nobody else at the agency would work with him. CJ found it straightforward. The behaviour support practitioner on that case watched it happen and told him plainly that he should be running his own service. She walked him through how. He registered the company and left the agency.

That experience is the foundation the organisation was built on, and it set the standard everyone here works to. It is also why a bigger provider with a better brochure cannot simply copy us. Anybody who has been let down before can tell the difference between someone doing a job and someone who actually turns up. You either mean it or you do not, and people work out which one you are quickly.
